Waypoints
Today I wanted to make a quick post and add a couple of items that support my portfolio ideas for the year.
My readers know my general thesis for the upcoming year: volatility in markets caused by rate hikes, with a side dish of batshit-insane geopolitical volatility, the likes of which we (1) definitely have not priced in and (2) have not seen in decades.
I mean, come on.
These were the things I kept in mind when I picked the 23 names I wanted to own for the year. When I put together my 23 Stocks To Watch In 2023 (Part 1 here, Part 2 here) I wanted to create a somewhat diversified, risk adverse, plan for myself heading into the new year.
If I had the chance to change anything about these names, now that it’s almost April, I wouldn’t. I feel as though my thesis is heading in the exact direction I have been forecasting for months. Keep in mind, however, that I am often wrong.
With that being said as a disclaimer (please read full disclaimer at the bottom of this post), I wanted to add some “waypoints” to my thesis that have come up in the last 48 hours. I’ll spare you the obvious and assume you have already read a couple of these:
