Twitter Censors, Then Un-Censors Florida Surgeon General After He Warns On mRNA Vaccines
The state's surgeon general published analysis warning men aged 18-39 from taking mRNA vaccines due to a statistically significant increase in cardiac-related deaths. Twitter removed it.
(Update: 10/9/2022, 11:00AM EST - Twitter appears to have un-censored the Tweet in question, as reflected in this updated version of the story).
Over the weekend, several astonishing things happened.
First, the Florida State Office of Health put out new Covid-19 vaccine guidance, based on an analysis that they performed, warning men aged 18-39 from taking mRNA vaccines due to a statistically significant increase in cardiac-related deaths.
Then, after Florida’s own Surgeon General - who has a blue checkmark, almost 100,000 followers, an MD and PhD from Harvard and who formerly worked as a health policy researcher at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine - put out a Tweet with an official state press release and a link to the actual safety study and data, Twitter removed the post.
Then, about an hour after this post was published, the Tweet was magically back up on Ladapo’s account:

It was no sooner than I asked who was really spreading misinformed disinformation, than this weekend, we may have gotten our answer.
In this case, social media company Twitter is now actively censoring the opinion of the Office of the Surgeon General of Florida, ostensibly because it doesn’t like the conclusions that the office has come to as the office conducts the vaccine safety work that Pfizer and Moderna should have been conducting
Read that again: Twitter is censoring a state surgeon general.
For those that missed the story this weekend, State Surgeon General Dr. Joseph A. Ladapo offered stunning new Covid-19 guidance relating to MRNA vaccines. His office published a press release on Friday after conducting an analysis that concluded “that there is an 84% increase in the relative incidence of cardiac-related death among males 18-39 years old within 28 days following mRNA vaccination.”
His office found that the results were likely only from MRNA vaccines and not from traditional (vector variant) vaccines:
With a high level of global immunity to COVID-19, the benefit of vaccination is likely outweighed by this abnormally high risk of cardiac-related death among men in this age group. Non-mRNA vaccines were not found to have these increased risks.
As such, his office broke new ground for state health authorities and was the first to recommend “males aged 18 to 39 from receiving mRNA COVID-19 vaccines.”
“Those with preexisting cardiac conditions, such as myocarditis and pericarditis, should take particular caution when making this decision,” the release says.
“Studying the safety and efficacy of any medications, including vaccines, is an important component of public health,” said Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo.
“Far less attention has been paid to safety and the concerns of many individuals have been dismissed – these are important findings that should be communicated to Floridians.”
The full analysis that the surgeon general’s office conducted can be found here.
Remember when the “official” fact checkers were urging us to only get our “official” information from “official” sources?
If we can’t get information on safety from a state’s surgeon general, where can we get it? And how quickly will society implode the first time Twitter finds something by Pfizer, Moderna, the NIH or Dr. Fauci that they don’t like and try to censor them?
Who is pulling the strings behind the scenes here?
