Many people made a bad investment decision by deciding to take out student loans, and they should have to suffer the consequences of such a decision. If you want to condemn the moral turpitude of these individuals at least be consistent. They are only doing what the banksters have done in past and are attempting to do with the commercial real estate bust. The banksters in both cases (the bankster bail out and now the commercial real estate bust have effectively privatized gains and socialized losses.(Heads-I win! Tails-you lose ( you being the taxpayers and the general public). This entire student loan forgiveness debacle is a just a sign of a deeper moral crisis in the character of the American people and the corrupt nature of the US government which seeks to shelter people (especially the rich and powerful) from the bad decisions they make. All these problems could be solved with a return to individual responsibility, and a government refusal to bail out people for the decisions they make.

What about those of us that repaid our loans? Our kids loans? Do I get a tax refund to cover all that now - 15 years later?. Fuck these rat bastards - buying votes with loans and immigrants should permanently destroy the D party.

If Trump’s administration can’t claw back the money , it needs to terminate these loan repayment programs and tax every university endowment in the USA just like a hedge fund. The universities have fucked the students and taxpayers. Payback is a bitch….

While the Republicans have all 3 branches, they need to make some laws. Not EO's. I am so very sick of this shite.

The election is over so why pander to the students now, unless it is just to screw the nation.

There's no doubt about it. When will Americans wake up and see that the Democrats are just the Useful Idiots of Communism? This is just another policy to trash the dollar and wreck the US. 5th Gen Warfare at every level, you are under massive attack economically, politically, industrially, cultrurally. Wakey wakey, the Dems are China's dumb bitches.

I'm sort of at the point where I wonder if it really matters. It's clear nobody in DC cares about fiscal stability - so fuck it, what's another trillion dollars? At least this cutout is going to straight to Americans and not direct into some pharma asshole's pocket.

Here's the real "kicker" - the entire nation is (collectively) DEAD BROKE. The entire economy is now one vast Ponzi Scheme propped up by the illusion of value provided by the federal (it's not) reserve (it doesn't have any). The machinations on the part of the Deep State to mulct yet more savings from the vanishing Americans middle class will continue until the citizenry physically refuses to submit to the depredations. January 20th can't come soon enough.
