Well, if yer KH and you literally can't speak publicly w/o laughing hysterically, hyena-like, then maybe yeah, pretty much anyone would likely "steal her spotlight".

ad-hominem attacks, so predictable. no logic or discussion about her track record or working career.

Anyone except Walz - he couldn't steal anyone's spotlight.

Cmon, referencing to the NY post is really dredging the end of the barrel. I have very much liked many of your articles but have noticed a very strong political bias in the last 6 months and now it looks like some sort of race/religion based focus. Calling the democratic party anti-semitic seems like something straight out of the Israel propaganda department. The democratic party has more jewish/semitic reps (2X) than the republican party so your whole thesis seems to be flawed from the start.

Well this isn't an unbiased news source. It's my opinion, and my column is going to reflect my views...which is the definition of bias. One party is supporting protestors walking around waving Hamas flags after the October 7th massacre, or is being very quiet and muted about their support for Israel, and the other isn't. eom

And here's another source. Van Jones, of all people, on CNN this morning.

--

CNN commentator Van Jones called for conversations about antisemitism in the Democratic party after Vice President Harris announced Tuesday that Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) would be her running mate on the November ballot.

“You can be for the Palestinians without being an anti-Jewish bigot, but there are some anti-Jewish bigots out there,” Jones said Tuesday on CNN, following the announcement. “And there has to be conversations about how much of what just happened is caving into some of these darker parts in the party. So that’s going to have to get worked out. It’s going to have to get talked through.”

“So here’s the challenge you’ve got in this party, and people don’t want to talk about it,” Jones continued. “We got to talk about it. On the one hand, you have a lot of young people concerned about Gaza. You have a lot of Muslims and Arabs and others. They have not felt seen by the Biden administration.”

Please! we know Jewish kids who protested for a ceasefire at Brown, Columbia, Michigan, PSU, Upenn, Berkely, UCSD, UCSZ... No one is supporting Hamas at those events, maybe 1%. There are 1% crazy zionists shouting to kill all palestinians. Who stopped AND who got a coalition to stop the missiles that Iran sent over. Who has been shipping weapons to help Israel defend itself. There is no way Israel can survive without democratic support. Democrats want to stop the current inhumanity being done by the israeli army. Hamas did something evil, Israel continues to do it and now looking at the behavior in the Israeli prisons, the evil is spreading. nothing like this was done to any Israeli hostage (what happed in the prisons).

You had me at “if Harris can’t handle a debate on Fox News, how in God’s name is she going to negotiate with world leaders like Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping?”

Double bingo, if it exists.

This is basement strategy 2.0.

She’s there physically, you see her up on stage. She’s saying words. But nothing outside of the prompter and absolutely no unscripted interviews or even questions.

This way she gets the honeymoon phase -like at the beginning of a campaign where everyone thinks their candidate is exactly like them and holds all the same beliefs. Say the first 90 days. Thats all she needs and after all, is that the point of the last minute switch.

Final prediction: if it’s still close in Late September/ October, Biden resigns the office and all the oxygen the last month is her being sworn in, meeting world leaders, and being seen AS the president (yet again in honeymoon mode) and Bingo Bongo-she wins from the 2-3% bump.

Ta. Fucking. Da. It’s a great trick really.

Occam’s Razor: Barry the Lightbringer did not want Shapiro. It’s that simple.

See, the Dems figure they cannot lose. They cheated in 2020 and got away with it. But not by much. This time, it won’t even be close. So the choice matters not.

No better pick than Waltz if you are installing a pair in the WH to finish the fundamental transformation Barry promised us years ago.

Another look at it says there’s an outside chance of a ‘rebellion’ at the DNC and Harris gets booted in favor of a ‘consensus’ choice. Hence, you don’t waste Shapiro now, whereas you can toss Waltz, who has massive baggage. Including stolen honor, according to those who were in the National Guard and have reason to know.

Yeah, that would really suck. However I often think that’s what it’ll take to reboot things. 🤷‍♂️

Spot on post. Though I'm thinking the early video by the Philly mayor was an intentional testing the waters to see how well the party would support her selection of Shapiro as VP. After all, this is the modern Democrat party, so selecting a Jew...who is moderate...who clearly supports and stands up for Israel...who criticized the anti-semitic campus mobs...did not go over well with the loud Jew hating left wing of the party. Trump supporters are smiling at this selection.

I'm of the conspiratorial belief that this pick which borders on Harris and Eric Holder "jumping the shark" will not matter. I'm also of the belief that Harris won't debate Trump as the media and the elitists in the party will poll test this in the next couple weeks and see that the two Commies are a disaster. No, Harris won't debate Trump because Harris will be kicked to the curb. If that is not the case, then the Biden administration and Deep State have something else up their sleeve to either cancel the election (martial law) or attempt another Trump assassination. As idiotic as" Dumb And Dumber" are as a pick, Dems will never relinquish power and control.

Easy Peasy. They delay finalizing the debate until after Sep 18, and then Judge Merchan puts Trump in prison. That is already predetermined, and the only question is how long to appeals courts take to stay the sentence?

I’m pretty sure the Democrats are so unhinged from reality and any respect of law and principle that they could have 27 quadrillion votes for KH already printed and distributed ready for the election. They will be postals. They won’t care that the math don’t work. They will cheat on a scale 100 times greater and 100 times more openly than 2020.

Their attitude will be “what the hell are you going to do about it?” Just like it is about the assassination attempt.

Our country sends billions of dollars to both Israel and Ukraine. Our Congress is, for the most part, bought and paid for by AIPAC which represents Israel's interests in the US government. Each Congress-critter gets their own AIPAC buddy - this was confirmed by Massie's talk with Tucker Carlson. Our current White House is most likely run by Anthony Blinken as Biden clearly is not in his right mind. Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh said our soldiers are being sent to the Middle East to protect Israel from attack from either Iran or Hezbollah forces in Lebanon. Trump's former VP, Mike Pence, said this: "We stand with Israel because her cause is our cause, her values are our values, and her fight is our fight."

So, I am puzzled why there would be any problems with Shapiro being VP.

Expand full comment

Bought and paid for by AIPAC. AIPAC is not a PAC, though one was legally formed and people can vote with their wallets, too. After all Citizens united confirmed money is speech. Why don't enlightened Gentiles or whoever give money to people who are running against fundamentally un-American. Dollars don't vote people do. If the people who voted to send Cori Bush and Bowman packing were informed or their radical anti-American acts and beliefs isn't that a good thing, or are you saying their constituents are too stupid and are brainwashed by "Jewish Money?" Do contributions by IFCJ members, led by the Catholic hating Pastor Hagee count as Jewish money? GMAFB, all o'ya's

This is an openly anti common sense article and blatantly racist article. Shame on the author. The author is stating that the democratic party is pro-hamas! The article starts with a lie and then everything gets worse from there. Why is it to obvious that picking Shapiro guarantees a win. The author, we know is a republican, but instead of being happy that the democrats are going to lose as a result of this choice, somehow makes this into an anti-semitic issue. Kamala's husband is semitic, the dem head of the senate is semitic - give everyone a break.

New York Post, just now:

"Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro broke his silence about not joining the 2024 Democratic ticket as the vice presidential candidate — with sources attributing presidential nominee Kamala Harris’ snub to her fear that he would steal the “spotlight” and alienate the party’s progressive base over his support for Israel."

"Political consultant Hank Sheinkopf told The Post that Shapiro was too hot to pick as Harris’ running mate because of his pro-Israel record, and that Waltz was a safer choice."

"Democrats are not as reflexively pro-Israel as in the past, he noted, and Harris needs the votes of pro-Palestinian progressives who are highly critical of Israel."

More rumor mongering by Shapiro, which is his right and he has to say this to stay relevant in his state and keep his options for running for president later. Why is Shapiro so focused on Israel!, he is an American governor and was in the running for VP! Walz is smart, effected real change in his state, well respected, savvy and people actually like him.

Being reflexively pro-"Any country" is not a good thing. Israel has wasted the good will of the entire world with this murderous bombing campaign after a murderous attack by Hamas and other terrorists. I dont see the citizens of Israel fighting to stop this destruction in Gaza, depraved behavior in their jails and incessant dehumanization in the West Bank. The Mullahs of Iran are murderous to their people and others but hundreds of their citizens have died trying to enable democracy there. It seems that the Israeli people (as a majority) have turned a blind eye to the suffering and death of so many innocents. Hamas needs to be taken care off but Israelis seem to have forgotten that the guy who really manipulated the palestinians to vote for these people was Netanyahu who wanted to weaken the PA.

"..........and he could help the Democratic Party claw back some of the Jewish vote that they’ve (deservedly) lost over the last year while all but openly supporting Hamas."

Every jewish congressman and every jewish senator is a Democrat. What are you talking about? Jews are supposedly 2% of the population. Nobody is making a VP decision based on 2% of the population......and just like 95% of blacks will vote democratic, 98% of the 2% jewish population is going to vote democratic.........every time.

Calling for the killing to stop is NOT "support," and there are a lot of republicans calling for the killing to stop.

You think she lost the support of her jewish husband over the democrat party's "support" of Hamas?
