Bold column Chris

I'd like to see this and a Tulsi endorsement. It would matter and it's time. This needs to be settled.

I read Tulsi was helping Trump with debate prep, so, if true, I’m sure her endorsement won’t be far behind. 🤷‍♂️

I wish Trump would have picked Tulsi as VP. Think he missed a big opportunity.

I see this as a contest between classical liberalism and totalitarianism. We need every natural ally in this fight united us with them. Besides, RFK Jr. is right about several issues Trump is wrong on. Trump needs to be getting better advice on those issues and I would hope RFK Jr. speaks his mind on what ever concerns him regardless of any official position he obtains.

Tremendous and timely column. I think it would be fantastic and is probably necessary for trumps success to have RFK endorse him. I think back to the years prior to 2016 and outside endorsements probably didn’t move the needle much but this is a tight election cycle and I think his would.

Contrary to popular opinion, I don’t think trump acts that independently. His circle the first time had such luminaries like Kushner and that was a huge mistake. If he truly brings in people like Tulsi and RFK it would make a huge difference.

Outstanding interview with Nicole Shanahan, thank you for sharing, I would not of caught it otherwise.

I think this is a great idea. I have a somewhat crazy idea in my head that if we could grab some enlightenment liberals and join those with the freedom (true freedom) right, we could build a true government of the people. It's probably a pipe dream, but I'm more of an old school Democrat who has become solidly Republican because of the hard leftward turn towards tyranny. They don't support anything they used to support, and I just couldn't stay for that. My conversion happened during Covid.

Thank you for making my point. You are still just a democrat who changed your name because you are ashamed of your family, but everything you wrote there about you "crazy idea" is some democratic, bat shit crazy stuff.

Uh, we have this "government of the people." It's called a Constitutional Republic. The problem in a nut shell is the representatives have forgotten their duty, role, job, responsibility, and the people have been delinquent in reminding them. They think reminding them is called voting. But real Americans know reminding them goes way beyond that.......that's our heritage.....our DNA.

You still think government.......the way you envision it........ is the solution.......you have no idea what a Republican is.......you just like calling yourself one.

Expand full comment

Why would I like calling myself one or the other? I am voting for them. That's all. I am well aware that we are a Republic. They actually still taught civics when I was in High school and college. I majored in history. I stand for free speech, women being women, free market capitalism, equality over equity, the 2nd amendment, freedom from government, the Electoral College, and the rule of law. If I vote based on my principles rather than a team, I'll vote for whoever represents those. I don't need to be glued to some name. So, what is your point exactly?

What do you want government to do for you?

Protect my God-given rights and national sovereignty. That's it and stay tf out of my business. I don't really even want to know they are there.

Good answer. That's much better than what you described in your original post.

What you stated here is exactly what a Republican should expect.......and from as small a government as possible.

When Trump says he's going to lower energy cost. I don't even want to hear that kind of crap. Government needs to stay out......PERIOD........and let the market dynamics take care of prices. So tired 9F government looking for a reason to stick their noses and fingers in every aspect of life.......to justify their existence and try and acquire more power.

Expand full comment

You are correct about that. I'm just hoping to find others who saw the light like I finally did. If people want to make the government smaller, I'm with them. It's way put of control and I feel like governors should be having meetings. But, my RINO governor is horrible.

Well said. If Kennedy is in the election, he'll get my vote. I hate his stance on Israel, but I like most everything else he stands for. If he drops out, endorses Trump, and stands a serious chance of playing a meaningful part of that administration, then I'm on board. Trump would do much better in Round 2 with Kennedy and Vivek in his cabinet.

It’s worth considering that the same forces that operate to negate your fantasies of “free market capitalism” could have been responsible for the assassination of JFK. look up smedley butler.

Canadians follow USA politics closely and trends in USA will influence Canada politics. Therefore I am desperate hoping that Harris & the democrats are defeated. It will give us conservatives in Canada extra hope of defeating AUTHORITARIAN TRUDEAU (which Canada desperately needs to rid itself of, like a cancer). Thanking all freedom-loving Americans in advance. God bless you all!!

Chris,

I agree 1000%. I would love to see Trump & RFK jr. joining forces.

The problem is illustrated in your stickman graph.

The left may have moved way left but the center and right have moved left with them. No one is getting more conservative or staying the same. Everything and everyone is getting more liberal to the point that the whole damn country are nothing but democrats on some level. The democrats I grew up with in the 80s and 90s would make the "conservatives" today........including Trump.......look like the liberals they really are.

The fact that RFK.....and no doubt Trump would welcome it.....is talking about joining forces with the MAGA cult, tells you all you need to know about the state of politics in this country. True conservatives. like me, have no one......NO ONE......to vote for. And I will not vote. Why would I compromise my principles and convictions to be a part of this shit show? So Kamala won't win? That silly bitch and her cohorts don't scare me.........not one bit. I am an American, and I still remember how to tell someone NO! and Go get bent! My life doesn't depend on those pyschos in DC.

Too many of you have succumbed to the idea that these people are rulers instead of elected political representatives. They get too out of hand........which is pretty close........and we tell them to kiss our ass. Or are you going to freak out and act like you "need" them. Are you afraid of them? No, you're afraid of losing your "stuff".......that shit you pay a storage company to keep for you.....that you've forgotten what it all is anyway.

Time to quite acting like our lives depend on these psychopaths. Time to find out again what is important........and getting along to go along so my 401k goes up isn't it. Time to act like Americans. Time to remember what it is like to get "mad as hell, and not take it anymore."

All this compromising with evil........to hopefully get the lesser of the two evils has gotten us in this hole. I hate to break it to you but digging deeper isn't going to get you out of that hole.

Tulsi and RFK joining this late stage of Trump's campaign, and then his administration would be fabulous. Trump hates the wrong things; Tulsi and RFK could channel Trump's manic, unguided, disruptive energies toward the entrenched interests in our institutions and social structure that should be constructively dismantled. I hope RFK makes this move.

Chris, great piece. Couldn’t agree more.

RFK Jr. for Attorney General, following in RFK's footsteps. Take on the FBI, CIA, FDA, and all the other law-breaking, out-of-control alphabet agencies.

If this is about avoiding the road to serfdom, a Trump endorsement of RFK is checkmate for the Left. It will never happen but a fun thought experiment nonetheless.
