IMO, we need to change our fellow citizens' minds on important issues. Politicians and lobbyists deserve the bashing they get, but the core issue is that 30-50% of the country (also part of We The People) advocate for insane policies. A even higher percent supports MORE government spending. IMO, they are ignorant and propagandized by the permanent bureaucracy and the "expert" class...but that's the dynamic that politicians are acting upon to keep their re-election bids going. And that's what people like Massie are really doing in trying to force fiscal responsibility: going against the People. Which is what makes it courageous.
Reduce spending by 3% across the board, including Social Security and other entitlements, as well as the hapless Pentagon, which has the largest amount of pork. Cut it 1% a year until it matches income (theft by taxes).
Agree. Johnson's reelection as speaker will be catastrophic for Republican voters - they just haven't realized it yet. They'll realize it when he helps Democrats sabotage one (or all) of Trump's signature mandates. 😆🤦♂️
Is the most clearly explained explanation of the issue that I've seen. Thanks.
"Politicians Won’t Solve Our Spending Problem Unless We Make Them." Right.
Politicians don't care about or serve the average person. The political class serves the top 1% of corporate and financial interests.
They then receive a nice bonus. It's called lobbying, but it's corruption.
Both parties do it. Voting doesn't make a difference.

Voting makes a difference, if you consistently vote third party or independents.
Partisan politics supercede the common good.
How much does it cost to run for federal office and why?
Lobbies write checks...We The People vote....who will they listen to?
Welcome to the Uniparty.

Conner hits the nail on the head.
