I much prefer your unbridled skepticism; always have, but especially in this case.

He is the Him version of Cathy Wood. Another 🤡 who makes the short hairs on the back of my neck shiver with disgust. Id rather be broke, alone and eating from a dumpster than to be that guy.

Here’s news: all the reasons for BTC & blockchain currency are no longer valid. None of them have F15’s; F35’s, Raytheon, LMT etc and can snatch your country’s President out of his bed in the dark. They’re not replacing the US$. BRICS ain’t happening. Santa isn’t coming to save you.

What is happening is stablecoins clearing quadrillions in transactions for everything from your VISA to PYUSD to sovereign WLF. It’s no longer the story it was but you’re still looking the wrong way on the tracks for the train.

The story changed- you didn’t get the memo.

Meh, stablecoins are nothing but prepaid credit cards. Let the foreign schmucks buy them . Makes them feel like they got a piece of America.

King Cavalier II's avatar

Thanks for telling us that you missed the trade in VISA & MC, too. You miss the significance of Saudis buying $200billion to sell China $200billion that settles securely in less time than it took to write this.

All while you proudly wait for a birthday card from grandma with a check for $20 in it.

Aja's avatar

Hey, Grandma didn’t get taken 2.5% on her $20 check….

King Cavalier II's avatar

Sorry this is hard for you, but Grandma uses Venmo now and it’s free.

Grandma does have a smartphone. What's wrong with you?

After Saylors $40 million dollar tax fraud settlement (the largest in D.C. history) ...... I'm betting his last mugshot hasn't been taken yet.

Why the Saylor obsession? Have you heard the most recent or prior earning calls to understand the active capital management pivot from a one way trade approach? Is management never able to reunderwrite their approach once they learn new things esp in a relatively novel asset class? Why keep harping on historical things he said (where true intent may have been him as an individual) vs. focus on clear transparent messaging in all recent earnings calls? Which other company in WORLD is as TRANSPARENT with 15 second updates on Website for all to see vs quarterly updates? Do you understand the Rating Agency dynamics in detail? Love most of your stuff but this unhinged obsession w Saylor between you and Schiff needs to be pivoted to more productive reads like what other stocks to buy.

It's his substack , he can write what he wants . He's not Motley Fool . Go elsewhere if you need more stock tips . Saylor is a VERY shady character and a proven crook and liar . Pretty sure he hasn't sold a kidney yet , at least not his own .

Naman's avatar

Anything fact based to add value to the article discussion at hand or are you part of a blind echo chamber parade stopping subscribers from expressing their views? I hope you are shorting the stock at least given your conviction else Saylor living rent free in your head...

https://virginiabusiness.com/bitcoin-king-michael-saylor-settles-d-c-tax-fraud-suit-for-40m/

FACT 1 Saylor is a narcissistic criminal liar who feels who doesn't need to pay taxes and brags to his friends about it . He lies about never selling , then starts selling monthly , you might want to think twice about giving your money to him .

FACT 2 Don't tell people what to write about .

Unfortunately many people are unable to comprehend why it is irrelevant if Strategy sells bitcoin. WHO CARES. They own just 4% of the network. There is $26B of daily liquidity, how does any of their sales move the needle one bit? It is not even a rounding error, see slide 32 of their IP below. If you like your management teams completely rigid in their thinking and unable to react and adapt to changing circumstances great for you. But endless clickbait soundbites like the sky is falling over a rounding error in the overall bitcoin liquidity is fearmongering, especially when folks don't have an attention span capable of more than a catchy soundbite.

Tax story is old news and a settlement (not admission of guilt) on a personal matter that neither of us know the facts to, agree optics from article appear unfavorable. Since then Strategy the COMPANY had quadrupled their BTC stack closer to $50B.

Agree to disagree, cheers.

I am a fan of Chris's work, as a whole. However, he is clearly using Saylor/MSTR for engagement farming, much like his buddy Schiff. I've decided to actively ignore these hot takes (which they are clearly nothing more) he publishes almost weekly so I can try to glean value from his blog like I was doing up until 2026.

What do they do to make money? Other than buy bitcoin with the expectation the price will go higher. In my 1975 Sweetwater High School graduate mathematics brain, that don't math.

Vladimir Putin has signed a law legalizing the use of cryptocurrencies in Russia. Regulated cryptocurrency exchanges and digital custodians will be created for the market. Furthermore, Russian exporters and importers will be able to use cryptocurrencies for cross-border payments without restrictions.

It would appear crypto may get another life; evading sanctions.

Haven't done the research but wondering if now may be a good time to consider to start purchasing some preferred stock mentioned in the article.

Comment continued: if federal reserve notes are “IOU Nothings” then bitcoins are “IOU Nothings Squared”. IOW - bitcoins are no longer “representative” of any reality; they are literally representative of “nothingness”. When the financial system inverts, they will return to the subatomic void from whence they have been summoned.

Allan Richard Wasem's avatar

I’ll just keep repeating, both as a reminder for the “old-timers” and as a summary of my thinking for the “newcomers” - your federal reserve notes

And yet MSTR is up today, WHY???

I think the M&M will take it for one more ride yet. I'm riding my BITS dividend shares to the end!
