I dunno - but it sure seems like some sort of psy op to get people scared about his war which they tell us we will have in 2025.... i mean really a balloon found in the middle of the US - none of the air defences (backed by trillions in defence budgets) happened to notice? And in a nation with more guns than people nobody bothered to shoot it down for 3 days!? And in the end the drama of an F22 being scrambled to shoot it down !!! Maybe im being naive or just too deep down the rabbit hole but seems awfully suspicious to me....

No citizen could've shot that balloon down. It was traveling @ approximately 60k feet -- far higher than commercial airliners. And anyone who tried to shoot it down would recklessly endanger others (via the falling bullet).

That said, I wondered why the feds didn't pop that sucker when it was over Alaska, before reaching the mainland. Surely it traversed wildnerness territory? Perhaps the debris field would be hard to predict, given the height and movement of the balloon. (And there are people who live isolated, in the hinterlands of Alaska.)

I am hoping that there is much more to this than meets the eye. For the amount of money we invest in intelligence and defense to have this just be a simple "whoops" would be an unmitigated disaster.

If watching it move across the US was indeed a cleverly disguised counter-intelligence operation, and we already know everything we need to know about it, then I'd say that the 3-letters are doing their job. They're not going to tell us, so we have to accept that, as much as don't like a lot of our government, they understand their mission in regards to foreign threats.

Think about this. Do we really believe that shooting it down would cause "risk to people on the ground" and that we couldn't figure out how to do that safely -- over Montana? Or Alaska? Or North Dakota? There are literally no people in 95% of those states. To me that kind of gives away that the agencies know a lot more about this than they are letting on.

I guess we'll see. Nothing is 100% for sure.

I would highly recommend to read “One Second After”. Years ago it was like a fantasy book but these days...

I think everyone needs to take a step back and look at this far more rationally. It feels a lot like an attempt to instill more China fear in the public. The pentagon has said anything gained from this balloon is limited in nature and is nothing they wouldn’t be able to get from spy satellites. To go further the US needs a reason to start a war with China and they want to do it sooner than later. As evidenced by the report just out that they are planning for it in 2025. China is in no rush to start anything they have all the time on their side. And let’s not forget who start most of the wars in this planet....

Any EMP (or similar) can now be blamed on another Chinese balloon.

PS betting against the USA had always been a fool's errand. This patriot, faithful to the Constitution, believes it still is!

We need areal commander in chief. The puppet in place is awful.

Or maybe the USA's military leaders were flaming counter-intelligence by allowing the balloon to continue on its course. Your commentary sounds like a shill for a hater of America's democracy than that of a patriot.

I hope no one here thinks it was really a spy balloon 🤣

The 4 horses of Revelation chapter 6 are out of the barn! The fires of trial will increase exponentially over the course of the last 7 years:

Daniel 3:19 Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace seven times more than it was wont to be heated.

These last 7 years commenced here:

And like clock work Russia attacked Ukraine 4 months later to release horse # 2 which along with the supply chain breakage of the covid scam are causing horse #3 to develop!

This will culminate with the destruction of fiat cash so they can being ushering in CBDCs for full implementation by 2025:

The extractive elite is panicking. They have bet the farm on the Ukraine gambit and have come a cropper.

The days of the US dollar being the world reserve currency are numbered. Europe (Germany) is awakening to the fact that the U.S. regards the demolition of their interests as collateral damage. Welcome to the Great Game of the 21st century.

It remains to to be seen whether the clueless jellies running the UK will wake up to the fact that the US interest is not synonymous with that of the UK. Nothing is more important to these people than a man in a dress.

It a weather balloon. The hysteria whipped up is to prep people for a war with China. Remember all the anti Russian hysteria around the elections? The Russian laptop? Trump as Russian puppet?

That was all propaganda.

The balloon story is the same.

There's an interesting article on zerohedge about this based on this twitter feed:

zerohedge link:

https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/chinese-spy-balloon-story-manufactured-crisis-alternative-reading

Basically, the twitter writer says this is most likely not a spy balloon. Best comment on the twitter feed is:

'to plan sending a balloon like this from China to a place over US land isn’t even doable in the first place'

I'm inclined to go with this, but anything's possible. It struck me as a bit strange when I first heard of this that something so visible and hard to direct would be used in spying.

"While we focus on the obvious, it’s important to also understand that from a monetary and financial perspective, it looks like China is preparing for war. "

Have they figured out how to prevent the total interdiction of their energy imports?

China does not have a blue water navy capable of securing the sea lanes between the Persian gulf and China, and overland deliveries of crude and coal from Russia are not nearly enough to sustain Chinese industry.

Which means in the event of a war China deindustrializes within six months to a year. Gold won't matter much then.

Well put, they are toast without oil imports.

Enter Russia.

Russia's oil pipelines predominantly head west, not east. Russia can deliver natural gas to China via the Power Of Siberia pipeline, but ESPO crude has to go by sea. Russia and China are presumably working on additional pipelines for both gas and oil, but Power of Siberia 2 has yet to see construction start and the "Far East Route" pipeline deal was just signed.

Meanwhile, Russian oil production has declined significantly after the start of the Russo-Ukrainian War.

Russia has the energy reserves to satisfy China, but does not have the energy infrastructures to supply China. And won't for several years--time neither country has, owing to dysfunctional economics and collapsing demographics.

The article cover manny different topics at the same time and it is hard for me to give my vision on all of them because they are all very different, except for one common thing: the USA vs China increasing hostilities. It’s real. Hostility sentiments are growing on both sides, also both sides think they are right, both think the other is the bad guy, making the situation more complex. China is not Russia and Xi Jimping is not Putin. I have a very close relative in China, in a very very senior position in business, American and full occidental background and our conversations on politics haven’t ended well lately, he is very critical of America and defends and justify China’s position in a way that is never done in western media. Not the military part but the politics. I am very concerned that a big missunderstanding could increase hostilities in the future. In the short term, both countries cannot afford to break relationships, they both need each other very much. But bitterness is growing.

Have you not noticed that it is the US who is making all the aggressive moves? What threat was Russia until Obama/Biden officials kept increasing offensive weapons in Ukraine (after they staged a coup to topple the democratically elected govt) and kept making noise about Ukraine joining NATO. Russia has been trying diplomatic means since at least 2007 to get the US to observe its red lines.

What is China doing that’s such a threat? Nothing that I can see. So why does the Biden administration continually violate China’s red lines? Could it be war is necessary to cover up for the sinking economy?

100% Correct. The Neocon uniparty seems determined start wars. No one has ever explained why RUS is our enemy (Hint: they aren't), the buffoonish state department working hand in hand with the military and defense contractors blew a tremendous opportunity to bring what remained of the USSR into the US/Euro orbit. (See Scott Horton's history of this period). Instead they spent 25 years expanding NATO; dangling membership to the corrupt UKR was too much for Putin who didn't like the idea of US missiles being 250 miles from Moscow. We are led by idiots.
