Wow. Just WOW. Thorough and scathing account of those days when goofy progressive energy reigned supreme and unquestionable. Progs were high from pontificating 24/7. They upped the high by virtue signal speed balling. The media provided hourly boosters of propaganda steeped in double-standards to keep the high rolling. Interesting times.

It's wild how quickly we forget just how insanely ridiculous it was...

I have such a difficult time keeping my emotion of anger in check reading these articles. Anger leads to bitterness and next is resentment. Resentment destroys my soul.

A bit of anger release: My governor, Newsom, closed beaches, skate parks and walking trails. I was, naturally, the rebel and removed the caution tape and did exactly what I was not 'allowed' to do, including going to work at an office with my entire accounting/finance staff in full attendance. We were, after all, 'essential'.

The health department was successfully sued by a few brave (can you imagine it took actual courage to keep churches open?) pastors/rabbis after allowing strip joints to remain open while closing houses of worship, including those that met OUTSIDE (including support groups such as AA, NA, etc while alcohol and mj was delivered to your home by brave drivers fighting through the virus swarm). The depth of emotional and mental harm will ripple through society as we watch BigPharma hawk their 'cures' of anti-depressants on a nation addicted to pills, potions and shots.

Go long on a big Pharma etf? I do NOT consent.

Thanks for the article, Chris.

There has never been accountability and it makes me sick. This is one of the reasons that I refuse to move out of the South. There are a list of other reasons I would like to move, one being that it feels close to hell in summer humidity here, but I can't. There were no arrests here because the governor knows how that would go. Still, there were people who had funerals alone and I can't forget.

This selective "Me not thee" is not near over. It moved onto weaponizing the application of law and legal destruction of opponents. BLM was a hoax and "they" have moved on to the next stage of Marxist doctrinal reduction of the masses to serfdom. I see not real end to this. Recommend purchasing stock in rope manufacturers and French guillotine manufacturers. Maybe, even brick manufacturing for building "the wall", making targets easy to dispatch.

The insanity never ended for some. It’s June 2024 and there is still a section of social media full of people still living in March 2020. An endless scroll of he/hims and she/theys with Ukraine flag profile photos still posting mask selfies and “OMG I am at the supermarket and no one is wearing a masks except me. Don’t they know the Alpha Zirconium variant is about to hit! Literally shaking rn” and “I’m getting divorced because my partner refused to double mask when we’re alone in our back yard” and “why don’t these selfish people understand we only need one perfect worldwide 6 week lockdown and we could get rid of Covid forever but I guess their freedumb is more important” #BringBackMasks #CovidIsNotOver #CovidIsAirborne #Fauci4President

The very reason we need people like you to continue writing and talking about this is that it did not break "the psychology of compulsion and control."

Otherwise, how would they have the nerve to continue running ads encouraging vaccination? The medical cabal and supporters still have the US population firmly under their spell.

Well articulated post. I’m saddened when I think of all the people that had to interact with our criminal justice system for social distancing violations of 6ft. which we recently learned from Fauci-the-Great himself, was just sort of made up. Can you imagine that? 🤦🏽‍♂️

I save all of these, because we all need reminders of just how hypocritical this entire situation got. Of course I remember now, but I save them so I won't forget in 10 years.

I don't think you'll need to wait 10 years before we need a reminder again...

I assume the Feds will have wiped my memories by then, so I will need these as a reference...)

I do the same. Forgive, but remember what those around us were capable of - especially since so many still don't see anything wrong with their behaviour.

In the woketopia I declare myself BLM so I don’t have to obey any laws by all those white supremacy douches. I now have the pronoun BLM. Stay away. Even tho I look white. I declare otherwise so back off jack!

“Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.” Ben Franklin

I can’t think of a better way to frame this essay, though much rank political hypocrisy was involved of course. Basically, people were either very afraid, or people saw it as just another virus. Most media and governments were in hysterics and their responses were to reduce liberty to have “safety.” But at what costs…those costs are still being realized and calculated.

Leftists and Progressives are inherently imprinted with safety and they get irrational with any move from “safety”. My hypothesis is that as our country has moved away from being a mostly religious people to one of a majority of secular/atheists, so too has the fear of dying greatly increased. Thus, it is easy for that type of people to restrict liberty.
