I love the way the term Communism is thrown around by conservatives and Libertarians. Essentially communism means the public or workers owning the means of production. This is not what the Democrats have been about. Their fault, the last decade, has trying to be overly fair to fringe groups (read: their hearts bleed too much) and you end up with legislation with so many caveats/conditions it can never be put into practice. Conservatives can load up legislation with their own versions of pork as well. It may be more important to focus on streamlining legislation than trying to reduce government (or maybe the former will lead to the latter).

I was telling a friend that we got gigabit fiber to our rural home and she gleefully responded that it was all thanks to President Biden and this program. I got a good laugh out of that comment.
