Sorry to chime in, but... who was the last President who tried to rein in the Fed?

That One who made a bad trip in Dallas?

:(

Hmm so “shadow chair” or repeal the Federal Reserve Act. It’s interesting the co sponsor is from Utah as that state has also introduced “House Bill 306, allowing state vendors to be paid in physical gold and silver.“

I'm a reasonably knowledgeable and intelligent guy. And I STILL can make no sense of the Fed. The extent to which the money supply doesn't promote greater productivity and efficiency is the extent to which the money supply is counter-productive. The Fed does more harm than good, except for the chosen few.

Goldman Sachs comes to mind. They screwed up, they should have gone bankrupt. But too many political cronies were 'invested' in it, so the Obama machine bailed them out with freshly printed money.

IMHO DJT has very sharp people around him this time. But the forces arrayed against him are potent and will get desperate as he turns things around for the benefit of Main street.

Ooof…the POTUS as head of the FOMC? Yikes!

Trump is bad enough but imagine the disaster someone like “lower credit card interest” AOC might wreak on the economy. I support the Libertarians on this one: keep the POTUS away from that dirty lever.
