I’m afraid that I now have the same level of trust in the Fed to “do the right thing for the benefit of the country” as I do in the rest of government - zero! We need a period of deflation to reverse some of the damage done, but since the Fed is owned by the banks, that won’t happen.

Where did it begin?

Did this all start with the "discount window" access afforded during the 08 melt down or were there other similar significant interventions? It seems there is no way out of this mess now between the illiteracy, the politics and what is now clearly evidence of structural dependence.
