Government's constant intrusion into citizens' privacy isn't a mere nuisance but is symptomatic of politicians' misunderstanding of the org chart. They are our employees. They work for us.

We don't need to reveal or explain ourselves to them. They, on the other hand, very much need to reveal and explain themselves to us.

I don't have anything to hide and risk boring to death the various government snoops who get assigned to pry. I might have good answers, but still want to clarify that I don't answer to them.

Of all the reasons Big Brother comes up with to require proof of identity, the most important one — voting — requires no proof at all in Blue States. The 2005 law that mandated Real ID should have mandated it for 1) voting and 2) receiving taxpayer-paid benefits (welfare, SNAP, childcare, etc.) and nothing else.
