People hate the entity formerly known as Congress. They love their representative, and there's a ~95% plus retention rate. Compare that to 40-60% rate of the Duma in Russia, and nearly 100% in the CCP, excluding purges, like the removal and imprisonment of several senior figures. The U.S. incumbent re-election rate does have a soft-authoritarian feel to it, with gerrymandering, campaign-finance dominance, and ballot-access rules. The Uniparty prefers that. We'll see what changing many R districts from +16% to, say, +8% does to try and gain more R seats. People are pissed, not necessarily by the topic of this excellent rant. How does an average guy get in on the grift?
