Their collapse can't happen soon enough IMO. These same institutions (in some cases, the exact same people) lied to us about Iraq. Didn't play their proper role in the 2008 financial crisis. Have ginned up support for nearly every war I can remember. Attacked Trump from day 1 because he dared to switch teams and side with the "deplorables" in "flyover country." Really blew their credibility with their covid hysteria and outright lies. And then, in response, doubled down on the lies with their cheerleading for the trans, DEI/BLM, and "green" agendas.

Trump figured out the best way to deal with this was to goad them into meltdown. To stick his thumb in their eye at every opportunity. And it's worked. They really are that dumb, petty, and vain. We'll all be better off if no one pays them any attention at all.

Exhibit A to support your contention that the media is self-immolating: Jeff Bezos's Op/Ed explanation as to why WaPo is not endorsing anyone for President this go-round.

A naive consumer of the news might view this as a sincere effort to cause that outlet to veer back to independence and neutrality.

A savvy media connoisseur knows this is a sign that the captain of the ship just confirmed that his vessel is on fire and taking on water.

You know what has tickled me the past week? Every single news agency reporting on all the unhinged canceling their WAPO subscriptions and people quitting and telling us all how much Bezos is losing. In my head, I see Bezos strutting around, thinking to himself he just got all those idiots to quit and didn't have to fire them. They lost him so much money over the past few years, there was no way for the paper to survive without culling them out. And, they think they are hurting him! 🤣🤣🤣

Seen from London, 3000 miles away, it looks like the tiny brains of Washington and the US media are controlled by the CCP who must go to bed every night laughing.

US legacy media is currently so unhinged that I'm betting the play scripts are called by the human-herding aliens in "They Live". No mere humanoid would feed this kinda shit into a teleprompter, it takes an other-worldly sense of humor to script this level of dramedy. literally everything the MSM sez is 🤣🤣🤣. Such a dumpster 🔥 and they keep requesting more renewable ethanol 24/7

Excellent post pointing out the annoying hypocrisy of the MSM and Democrats in calling the Trump rally at MSG reminiscent of a Nazi rally held at MSG in the 1930s. Out of curiousity I ask CoPilot AI if the Democrats ever held a convention at MSG. Here is the reply: "Yes, the Democrats have held their national convention at Madison Square Garden multiple times. Notably, they hosted the convention there in 1924, 1976, 1980, and 19922. The 1924 convention, in particular, was infamous for its length and internal conflicts, taking a record 103 ballots to nominate a presidential candidate. Quite the marathon of chaos, if you ask me."

All true, but we need to be careful. As they flame out they are getting increasingly vicious and censorious. If the cackler wins the election, the first amendment will be under attack, and Elon will be subject to unprecedented lawfare (he said himself that if they win he's probably going to jail). Don't get complacent. Look what they managed to do during COVID. The MSM still has immense power.

Well, I didn't think the MSM had any credibility left to lose! They keep doing irreversible damage to their image, absent any credibility, but yet never stop lying. They never try to change anything real about themselves and clearly are not embarrassed to be called out as establishment whores. They're basically actors selected to put on a presumably true story. Hopefully more people are getting wise to what they really are and start thinking for themselves and asking real questions.

They are just doing what they are paid to do. Shill propaganda for their hidden masters.

The demoncrats are wholly owned by the cabal of anti humanists and the MSM is funded by the same. Why would anyone be surprised. The only people that would give them credibility are the brainwashed that should do what they’re told and bury themselves alive.

I hate to see all those Jewish journalists spewing these utter lies. As a Jewish man, I am deeply saddened by so many Jews who are rabidly anti Trump and will say and write and do anything for their cause. So often I see the bylines of fellow Jews in these insane propaganda lies.

The winners in this election will be the lawyers. Lawsuits as far as eye can see. Might be a good time to take the BAR exam, there should be plenty of work to go around. I think Trump wins 11/5/24, but it may be 2025 before he is officially declared the winner.

I well remember during the first Iraq war when CNN was reporting (under TedTurner’s leadership). It was on-the-ground truth. We haven’t seen that in decades. Much of news has gone to podcasts, YouTube, etc. but perhaps there’s an opening for a new network that actually does proper research, journalism, and truth…. Maybe.

A Washington Post reporter reached out to a county commissioner in my (to "Washington Post" should be beyond insignificant) state and was referred to the leader of a citizens' group when the reporter had questions about "election administration." He was sent, by the head of the citizens' group, a report that was given to every county commissioner in the state in October 2021 and a simple spreadsheet. The spreadsheet showed that a candidate who ran for US Senate in 2020 and then for Governor in 2022, coming in 2nd both times, garnered 46.5% of the statewide vote in BOTH races, two years apart. The spread of total vote casts in those 2 races was the difference of approximately 900k total votes in 2020 and 700k total votes in 2022. 2 days later the Washington Post announced it would not be endorsing a candidate for the 2024 president race. Apparently people interpret that as a Non-endorsement of Harris. If that report was any part of the decision not to endorse, it is beyond a limp wrist response.
