Right, but it's also true, envy aside, that a top heavy wealthy class does not bode as well for countries at the expense of a strong middle class. The creation of a vast middle class post WWII was part of the reason for the golden age MAGA tries to go back to. The top tier was heavily taxed in this period to 1) keep the wealth from too much accumulation at the top which was part of the systemics that led to the Great Depression and 2) to encourage the wealthy to reinvest in businesses, thereby accumulating more wealth that way with a positive effect for our great manufacturing base we once had. So the answer isn't black or white IMO---Marxist/Socialism/Communist vs capitalism but an economy structured to the best benefit of the country as a whole: free markets as much as possible, easing of regulations to reasonable levels, job creation instead of social welfare whenever possible, and sufficient revenue collection for those government programs we decide are worthy so we don't end up with situations like our current debt.
Easy fix - any politician that speaks of socialism or any form of such governing should be offered a first class plane ticket to the country of their choice that practices this kind of government while being removed from office.
thats not how our country can get the system working to help all Americans. The top 1% of the country have the most wealth as a percentage of GDP since 1920! The admins have reduced revenues to the fed but have not cut expenses, the new hefe has added $4T in debt for funding tax breaks AND new $160B in an internal police state apparatus AND increased defense spending! The only defense we are doing is funding Israel and its inane attacks on everyone around there.
I don't think these people want to overturn the capitalist system as much as reign in today's excesses. In that respect, this is a contemporary version of mainstream politics throughout much of American history. And it echoes even the sentiments we express here in comments.
