"I Wasn't Uptown. I Was In The Building": Kenny Polcari Shares His Firsthand Account Of 9/11 in NYC
From a podcast I did in 2018, one of the world's most well known traders talks about living through 9/11 while in Manhattan.
Today, as we remember the events of 9/11, I wanted to share one of my earliest podcasts from 2018 where I talked to Kenny Polcari about living through 9/11 while in Manhattan.
Kenny’s story is a stunning play-by-play account of his experience living through the fateful morning of September 11, 2001.
“It wasn’t like I was uptown. I was in the building,” Kenny recalls from barely leaving the World Trade Center before the attack.
“I’ll never see these people again,” Kenny said while remembering some of the everyday people he would bump into around the city that he knew he lost on 9/11.
“It’s very somber, but it doesn’t feel like death anymore,” he said of Ground Zero in 2018.
The audio isn’t perfect, because it was before I had a great podcast setup - it improves throughout the interview.
This afternoon and evening I am offering 10% off and, on top of that, donating 50% of all subscription proceeds to my blog to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation for those who use this link:
Created in remembrance of firefighter Stephen Siller who died helping others on 9/11, this nonprofit provides financial support to the families of injured or deceased firefighters, police officers, military members and other emergency services workers.
